Abstract

Zusammenfassung Praxisorientierte Fallbeispiele und Patientengeschichten können Relevanz von Health Data Science im Berufsleben einer Ärztin und eines Arztes motivieren und Studierenden der Medizin den Einstieg in dieses Fachgebiet erleichtern. Für Medizinstudierende wurde dazu das E-Learning Tool epiLEARNER implementiert mit interaktiven und praxisorientierten Fallbeispielen, die auf konkrete Anwendungen von biostatistischen und epidemiologischen Methoden im medizinischen Alltag fokussieren und damit deren Bedeutung in der klinischen Routine und der Patientenversorgung demonstrieren. Darüber hinaus beinhaltet das E-Learning Tool als weitere Komponenten Multiple-Choice-Fragen, die zur zielgerichteten Vorbereitung auf Prüfungen genutzt werden können, und einen Theorieteil, der zum Nachschlagen bei einer konkreten statisch-epidemiologischen Frage dient. In einem integrierten Glossar können kurze Definitionen von Fachbegriffen nachgeschlagen werden. Das E-Learning Tool ist frei zugänglich und über PC, Tablet oder Smartphone nutzbar. Es ergänzt die Kurse des Querschnittsfachs Q1 (Medizinische Informatik, Biometrie, Epidemiologie) des Studiums der Humanmedizin und kann hier als digitale Komponente für einen „blended learning“-Ansatz genutzt werden.
