Abstract

Zusammenfassung Ein großer Motivator, sich mit Statistik zu befassen, sind Wetten aller Art. Es geht um Geld, es geht um Zufall, es geht um ständig wiederkehrende Ereignisse. Insbesondere Pferdewetten sind ein interessantes Untersuchungsobjekt, da individuelle Entscheidungen in einer realen Situation beobachtet und analysiert werden können, eine Art Feldversuch mit sehr vielen Teilnehmern im Gegensatz zu Laborexperimenten, in denen meist eine kleinere Anzahl von Teilnehmern in kontrollierten Situationen Entscheidungen zu treffen haben.
