Abstract

Zusammenfassung Mit drei Personen kann man eine effektiv arbeitsfähige Gruppe zusammenstellen. Auf der anderen Seite sollten in der Regel nicht weniger als drei Personen gemeinsam mit komplexeren Aufgaben befasst sein. Dieses Kapitel widmet sich dem Phänomen der Dreiergruppen, also solcher Zusammenschlüsse, die aus drei Einheiten bestehen. An dieser Stelle bleibt einigermaßen unbestimmt, was die Einheiten betrifft, wir werden sehen, dass es sich auf der einen Seite um Personen, auf der anderen Seite aber auch um fiktive Charaktere handeln kann, sogar um mathematische Objekte, die, zu dritt zusammengefasst, eine arbeitsfähige Struktur bilden. Als Beispiele werden bekannte Dreiergruppen diskutiert, dazu gehören die Heiligen Drei Könige, die Hexen in Shakespeares Macbeth, und, mathematisch, der Dreisatz. Eine Diskussion mathematischer Dreierstrukturen rundet das Kapitel ab.
