Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das Problem der Dreiteilung eines beliebigen Winkels wurde im klassischen Griechenland beschrieben und immer wieder vergeblich zu lösen versucht. Gegeben ist ein beliebiger Winkel, gesucht wird eine Konstruktion, die ihn nur mit Zirkel und Lineal in drei gleiche Teile teilt. Gesucht ist eine exakte Lösung, nicht nur eine Näherungslösung. Wir zeigen, dass es mit Origami gelöst werden kann und diskutieren die algebraische Seite des Problems, für die wir nachweisen, dass es keine allgemeine Lösung gibt. Die Ansätze von Archimedes, Hippias und von Albrecht Dürer werden ebenfalls vorgestellt. Für die letzte Lösung können wir eine Fehleranalyse durchführen, die zeigt, dass der Fehler bemerkenswert gering ist. Schließlich zeigen wir, dass auch die Kubikwurzel aus zwei durch Origami berechnet werden kann, so dass das klassische Delische Problem der Würfelverdopplung eine papierne Lösung besitzt.
