Abstract

Zusammenfassung Nichtparametrische Tests ist ein Sammelbegriff für eine Reihe von statistischen Tests für ähnliche Anwendungsbedingungen. Sie kommen grundsätzlich in folgenden Situationen zur Anwendung: Die zu testenden Variablen haben Ordinal- oder Nominalskalen, so daß parametrische Tests (Tests mit Annahmen über die Verteilung der Variablen), wie z.B. der t-Test zur Prüfung auf Differenz von Mittelwerten zweier Verteilungen, Test eines Korrelationskoeffizienten auf Signifikanz u.ä. nicht angewendet werden dürfen. Die zu testenden Variablen haben zwar ein metrisches Skalenenniveau (Intervall- oder Rationalskala), aber die Datenlage gibt Anlaß für die Annnahme, daß die zugrundeliegenden Verteilungen nicht normalverteilt sind. Dieses gilt insbesondere für die Stichprobenverteilung einer Prüfgröße bei kleinen Stichprobenumfängen, da hier der zentrale Grenzwertsatz nicht anwendbar ist.
