Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Aufgabe der geometrischen Perspektive läßt sich an Hand der schönen Holzschnitte erläutern, auf denen Dürer um das Jahr 1525 das Entstehen eines perspektiven Bildes dargestellt hat. Ein fest gewählter Punkt, der Augpunkt [oben eine Öse an der rechten Wand], wird durch einen gespannten Faden mit einem Punkt des abzubildenden Gegenstandes verbunden. Dann ist die Stelle auf dem Faden aufzusuchen, die in einer zwischen Gegenstand und Augpunkt aufgestellten, durch vier Kanten eines Rahmens festgelegten Bildebene liegt. Dazu werden in dem Rahmen ein waagerechter und ein lotrechter Faden oder Draht so weit verschoben, bis beide jenen Spannfaden berühren. Den so gefundenen Durchstoßpunkt des Fadens mit der Bildebene, den Bildpunkt, überträgt man nach Fortnehmen des Spannfadens auf eine Zeichentafel, die um ein Scharnier in den Rahmen geklappt werden kann. Schließlich verbindet man freihändig die Bilder der wichtigsten, mit dem Fadenende erreichbaren, also vom Augpunkt aus sichtbaren Gegenstandspunkte.
