Abstract

Zusammenfassung Bei der Ausgleichung nach vermittelnden Beobachtungen wurden die v erst nach der Berechnung der Unbekannten gewissermaßen nebenher erhalten. Vielfach ist es jedoch erwünscht, von vornherein Einblick in das Verhalten der v zu gewinnen. Dieser Gedanke liegt besonders nahe, wenn die ausgeglichenen Beobachtungen gewisse geometrische Bedingungen erfüllen müssen, wie z. B. bei Triangulierungen die Sollwerte der Winkelsummen in den Dreiecken und Vielecken oder bei Nivellements die Sollwerte der Schleifenschlüsse. In solchen Fällen kann man, wie C. F. Gauß gezeigt hat, geradezu die Verbesserungen als Unbekannte betrachten und sie so bestimmen, daß neben der Hauptforderung, [v v] ein Minimum, auch den Bedingungen Genüge geschieht, die durch die überschießenden Beobachtungen hervorgerufen sind.
