Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das Verfahren der vermittelnden Beobachtungen wird angewandt, wenn mehrere Unbekannte gemeinsam zu bestimmen sind und die Anzahl der Beobachtungen größer ist als die der Unbekannten. Dabei sind in sehr vielen Fällen nicht die Unbekannten selbst beobachtet worden, sondern andere Größen, die mit ihnen in einem funktionellen Zusammenhang stehen. So werden z. B. beim trigonometrischen Einschneiden Winkel gemessen; als Unbekannte aber werden die Koordinaten des Neupunktes eingeführt. Zur Lösung drückt man zunächst in den Fehlergleichungen die Beobachtungen durch die Unbekannten aus, so daß man sie „mittels“ der Unbekannten miteinander vergleichen kann. Alsdann werden die dabei zutage tretenden Messungswidersprüche auf Grund der Forderung [vv] ein Minimum beseitigt.
