Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das Kapitel beleuchtet die zentralen Kategorien Chancen, Risiken und Unsicherheiten, die in der Technikfolgenabschätzung genutzt werden, um die Auswirkungen technischer Innovationen systematisch zu erfassen und zu bewerten. Es werden grundlegende Problemfelder wie normative Werturteile und Komplexität erörtert und sowohl philosophische Konzepte wie Ambivalenz und Nichtwissen als auch praktische Instrumente wie das Vorsorgeprinzip und das prozessorientierte Risikomanagement vorgestellt. Abschließend wird die entscheidende Rolle der subjektiven Wahrnehmung und des medialen Framings beleuchtet, wodurch die Notwendigkeit einer transparenten Kommunikation und partizipativer Verfahren für die gesellschaftliche Aushandlung von Technik betont wird.
