Abstract

ZusammenfassungTeil IV verfolgt den nach dem 16. Jahrhundert erneuten Epochenbruch des 19. Jahrhunderts in Europa und die Entwicklung bis heute. Die These wird vertreten, dass drei weitgehend kohärente Wellenzyklen zu beobachten sind: die langen Wellen der Konjunktur nach N. A. Kondratjew, der Zyklus der politischen Erwartungen nach Lucian Hölscher und der dogmenhistorische Zyklus der politischen Ökonomie. Kap. 10 widmet sich der schwierigen Geburt der Ökonomik und ihrer Abnabelung von der nicht utilitaristischen alten Moralphilosophie auf der Suche nach eigenständigen Wegen. Es zeigt die spezielle Natur ihrer Annahmen sowie ihrer Methodik, die beide im 21. Jahrhundert zusehends ihren Anspruch auf Allgemeingültigkeit verlieren. Im Mittelpunkt des Epochenwandels steht ein verändertes Menschenbild, das den Homo faber hervorhebt und mit ihm seine zeitgenössische Entsprechung, den Entrepreneur.
