Abstract

ZusammenfassungIn Teil I geht es um die Quellen, aus denen der Tausch schöpft und die die Marktwirtschaft entstehen lassen. Kap. 1 geht der Geschichte der Kommerzialisierung nach und verortet sie viel früher, als sie in der europäischen Aufklärung von den Vordenkern der politischen Ökonomie thematisiert wird. Einflüsse sehr verschiedener Art führen im europäischen Hochmittelalter zu ihrer Entstehung. Einen wesentlichen Beitrag leistet die christlich geprägte Hermeneutik, wie exemplarisch mit der Interpretation des Gemäldes „Marktstück mit Christus und der Ehebrecherin“ von Pieter Aertsen aus dem Jahr 1559 gezeigt wird.
