Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Online-Handel steht vor gewaltigen Herausforderungen. Plattformen und Künstliche Intelligenz (KI) sowie die dadurch initiierte Veränderung des Kundenverhaltens lassen einen rasanten Wandel im E-Commerce erwarten. Dieser erinnert an die digitale Disruption, die vor rund 30 Jahren begann und für die als Vorreiter Google, Amazon, Facebook/Meta und Apple stehen. Innovative Geschäftsmodelle aus Fernost setzen den deutschen Online-Handel bereits erheblich unter Druck. KI-basierte Shoppingoberflächen und -zugänge stoßen auf großes Interesse bei den Online-Kunden. Diese suchen zunehmend per ChatGPT, Gemini oder Perplexity statt per Google ihre Produkte im Netz. Der Schritt zum Einkauf ist dort nicht weit und Instant Checkout sowie Agentic Commerce sind bereits die großen Themen. Dieses Kapitel beschreibt die aktuelle Situation und die absehbaren Entwicklungen.
