Abstract

Zusammenfassung Diese Studie beleuchtet anhand einer neu entwickelten Taxonomie umfassend die getroffenen Präventionsmaßnahmen im Kontext der COVID-19(Coronavirus Disease 2019)-Pandemie während der ersten Infektionswelle im Frühjahr 2020 in Österreich. Zunächst werden allgemeine staatliche und nichtstaatliche Maßnahmen ohne Impfungen diskutiert, gefolgt von einer Diskussion spezifischer Maßnahmen im Gesundheitssektor, einschließlich Impfungen. Die langfristigen Herausforderungen für das Gesundheitswesen und die Gesellschaft, die sich aus dem endemischen Charakter der Erkrankung und der zunehmenden Bedeutung der Langzeitbehandlung ergeben, werden aufgezeigt. Darüber hinaus werden die wirtschaftlichen Auswirkungen der eingeleiteten Maßnahmen kurz dargestellt. Abschließend wird ein kurzer Ausblick auf zukünftige Herausforderungen und Entwicklungen im Umgang mit der COVID-19-Pandemie und ihren Folgen gegeben.
