Abstract

Zusammenfassung Dieses Kapitel führt in die wachsende Bedeutung Künstlicher Intelligenz für kleine und mittlere Unternehmen ein und zeigt, warum sich ihr erfolgreicher Einsatz gerade im Mittelstand entscheidet. Es beschreibt zentrale Anwendungsfelder von KI und ordnet die damit verbundenen Potenziale in einen wirtschaftlichen und organisatorischen Kontext ein. Gleichzeitig werden typische Ursachen angesprochen, weshalb viele KI-Projekte hinter den Erwartungen zurückbleiben. Der Fokus liegt dabei auf strategischen, strukturellen und kulturellen Rahmenbedingungen, die den Einsatz von KI beeinflussen.
