Abstract

Zusammenfassung Bibliotheken agieren in einem komplexen Umfeld vielfältiger Rahmenbedingungen. Die gesellschaftliche Transformation zur Informationsgesellschaft, der technologischer Wandel durch Digitalisierung und KI, die Konzentration des Informationsmarkts auf wenige Großverlage sowie die Transformation des Publikationssystems durch Open Access prägen die strategische Ausrichtung. Digital Science verändert Forschung und Lehre grundlegend. Weitere Faktoren wie Urheberrecht, Barrierefreiheit, Informationskompetenz und Fachkräftemangel erfordern kontinuierliche Anpassungen und ein professionelles Change Management.
