Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das St. Galler Management-Modell (SGMM) versteht Organisationen als komplexe soziale Systeme in dynamischer Wechselwirkung mit ihrer Umwelt. Es unterteilt Management in drei integrierte Ebenen: Normatives Management definiert Werte, Purpose und Vision als Fundament. Strategisches Management entwickelt mittelfristige Programme zum Aufbau von Erfolgspotenzialen. Operatives Management setzt diese im Tagesgeschäft um. Horizontale Integration verbindet Strukturen, Aktivitäten und Verhalten; vertikale Integration harmonisiert alle drei Ebenen. Dieser ganzheitliche Ansatz ermöglicht Bibliotheken, Komplexität zu bewältigen und langfristig erfolgreich zu agieren.
