Abstract

Zusammenfassung Ein Vergleich der beschriebenen krisenhaften Entwicklungen ist nicht leicht. Zum einen müssen passende Indikatoren gefunden werden. Zum anderen ist die Ausgangslage zur Bekämpfung der Krisenwirkungen unterschiedlich. Während für die Finanz- und Wirtschaftskrise 2008/2009 gewisse Vorläufer in Form anderer Krisen in der Vergangenheit existierten (selbst einzelne Aspekte der Weltwirtschaftskrise aus den 20er/30er-Jahren des vergangenen Jahrhunderts fanden sich wieder), gab es für das Vorgehen gegen die Corona-Pandemie und deren Folgen keine Vergangenheitswerte. Der Aspekt der Unsicherheit spielte damit bei der Corona-Krise eine wesentlichere Rolle. Hinzu kommt beim Vergleich beider Krisen mit den Folgen des Klimawandels, dass dessen realwirtschaftliche Folgen und auch die Konsequenzen für die Finanzmärkte noch nicht ansatzweise sichtbar und auch nicht quantitativ messbar sind. So ist die Größenordnung des Problems derzeit kaum greifbar, zudem spielt die zeitliche Komponente eine wichtige Rolle.
