Abstract

Zusammenfassung Unternehmen investieren Milliarden in digitale Transformation. Dies schafft aber gleichzeitig eine der größten Ausgrenzungswellen der Menschheitsgeschichte. KI-Systeme diskriminieren systematisch (Buolamwini und Gebru, Proceedings of Machine Learning Research 81:77–91, 2018), Algorithmen verstärken Ungleichheit und 2,6 Mrd. Menschen bleiben digital ausgeschlossen (International Telecommunication Union (2024) Measuring digital development: Facts and figures 2024. https://www.itu.int/en/ITU-D/Statistics/ ). Doch was wäre, wenn dies der Schlüssel zu einer gerechteren und inklusiveren Gesellschaft sowie profitableren Wirtschaft sein könnte? Dieser Artikel zeigt, wie alterozentrierte Tech-Ethics durch gezieltes Umdenken in Organisationen und bei deren Mitarbeitenden nicht nur gesellschaftliche Herausforderungen lösen, sondern gleichzeitig dazu beiträgt, neue, nachhaltige Geschäftsmodelle zu erschaffen. Basierend auf empirischen Evidenzen wird demonstriert, wie Teilhabe, Inklusion und nachhaltiges Enablement von dem Gefühl und der Last der Pflicht zu einer ethischen Grundeinstellung und damit zu einem strategischen Wettbewerbsvorteil werden.
