Abstract

Zusammenfassung Dieses Kapitel analysiert die aktuelle Bedeutung und Anwendung von Wirtschaftsethik. Es dokumentiert die Transformation der Wirtschaftsethik zu einem zentralen Geschäftsfaktor, beeinflusst durch gesellschaftliche, technologische und wirtschaftliche Veränderungen. Die methodische Basis ist eine systematische Literaturübersicht von 187 Artikeln über 40 Jahre (Schemmel et al., SSRN Electronic Journal, 2024). Quantitative und qualitative Erkenntnisse zeigen einen Anstieg des Forschungsinteresses und eine semantische Evolution hin zu stakeholder-zentrierten Ansätzen. 78 % der Studien zeigen positive Korrelationen zwischen ethischen Praktiken und finanzieller Performance. Alterozentrierte Ansätze zeigen überdurchschnittlich positive Ergebnisse. Fallstudien von Amazon, Maersk, Patagonia und Microsoft illustrieren praktische Anwendungen. Das Kapitel betont, dass Wirtschaftsethik heute nicht mehr die Frage des „Ob“, sondern des „Wie“ ist, und alterozentrierte Ansätze sowohl ethisch überlegen als auch geschäftlich vorteilhaft sind.
