Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Entwicklung und Rolle privatwirtschaftlicher Unternehmen in China sowie die Entstehung einer dynamischen Start-up-Szene werden dargelegt. Seit Beginn der Reform- und Öffnungspolitik 1978 wurde der private Sektor systematisch ausgeweitet und trägt heute maßgeblich zu Innovation, Beschäftigung und wirtschaftlichem Wachstum bei. Trotz wirtschaftlicher Liberalisierung agieren diese Unternehmen in einem politisch stark gesteuerten Umfeld, das durch Parteistrukturen und strategische Regulierung geprägt ist. Parallel dazu hat sich durch staatlich initiierte Programme wie das Torch- oder Mass-Entrepreneurship-Programm eine umfangreiche Start-up-Kultur entwickelt, die in Bereichen wie KI, Biotechnologie und Halbleitertechnologie international wettbewerbsfähig ist. Diese Szene profitiert von gezielter Förderung, leidet jedoch zunehmend unter geopolitischen Spannungen und rückläufigen Investitionen. Insgesamt wird deutlich, dass Chinas privatwirtschaftliche Entwicklung weniger auf freien Wettbewerb als auf eine kontrollierte Marktöffnung mit politischer Steuerungslogik zurückzuführen ist.
