Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die zunehmende Komplexität moderner Arbeitsumgebungen erfordert differenzierte Strategien zur Gewinnung, Entwicklung und Bindung von Fachkräften. Vor diesem Hintergrund gewinnt das Konzept der Neurodiversität sowohl im wissenschaftlichen als auch im personalpolitischen Diskurs an Bedeutung. Der Begriff wurde erstmals in den späten 1990er Jahren von der australischen Soziologin Judy Singer geprägt und beschreibt die natürliche Variation neurologischer Entwicklungsformen innerhalb der menschlichen Bevölkerung (Singer, 2016). Er umfasst unter anderem Autismus, Aufmerksamkeitsdefizit-/Hyperaktivitätsstörung (ADHS), Legasthenie, Dyskalkulie, Dyspraxie sowie andere neurologische Unterschiede, die bislang häufig pathologisiert wurden (vgl. Kap. 1 ).
