Abstract

Zusammenfassung Dieses Kapitel erläutert die Entwicklung der Marktwirtschaft zu einer Gemeinwohlökonomie bis zu zwei Wendepunkten: dem Angriff Russlands auf die Ukraine am 24. Februar 2022 und dem Beginn der zweiten US-Präsidentschaft Donald Trumps am 20. Januar 2025. Schlagworte aus der Wirtschaft und dem gesellschaftlichen Diskurs sind Stakeholder-Orientierung (Stakeholder-Kapitalismus), Purpose (Wokeness), ESG (Environment, Social & Governance) sowie DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion). Vor diesem Hintergrund gehen die Autoren der Frage nach, ob und in welcher Form die erreichte Gemeinwohlorientierung innerhalb der EU und international Bestand haben wird angesichts der Gegenbewegung, die von den USA unter Donald Trump und seinen Make-America-Great-Again(MAGA)-Republikanern ausgeht. Im dritten Schritt folgt eine Ableitung, was der erreichte und der künftig zu erwartende Stand an Gemeinwohlorientierung jeweils für die Kommunikation von Unternehmen und ihren Repräsentanten bedeuten.
