Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Klimaökonomie ist sich in der Problemdiagnose einig. Der voranschreitende Klimawandel bedroht unseren Wohlstand. Durch den Anstieg der globalen Mitteltemperatur werden Stürme, Dürren, Überschwemmungen und Hitzewellen häufiger und extremer. Auch Niederschlags- und Temperaturmuster verändern sich. Schwankungen von Tag zu Tag nehmen in weiten Teilen der Welt zu. Das verursacht einschneidende ökonomische Schäden – ganz zu schweigen vom Artensterben, zunehmenden Gesundheitsrisiken für den Menschen und einer erhöhten Sterblichkeit sowie dem Verlust von Heimat, Kultur und Identität (IPCC 2023).
