Abstract

Zusammenfassung In diesem Kapitel geht es einerseits um Führung als Experte, andererseits um die Führung von Experten. Eine weitere Unterscheidung betrifft die Führung einzelner einem Manager zugeordneten und unterstellten Experten andererseits die Führung von Expertenteams und von Expertenorganisationen. Experten leiten Projekte oder sind Mitglied eines Projekt- oder crossfunktionalen Teams. Sie beeinflussen Entscheidungsprozesse und erarbeiten Lösungen, für deren Umsetzung sie Unterstützung einwerben müssen. Dies bedingt Einflussnahme auf andere im Interesse sowohl eigener wie übergeordneter Ziele. Einfluss auf andere auszuüben ist Führung, wobei das Führungshandeln von Experten meist unter die Kategorie „laterale Führung“ einzuordnen ist. In diesem Kapitel werden für Experten relevante praktische und konzeptionelle Aspekte der Führung betrachtet, auch wie Experten Wirkung in einer Matrixorganisation erzielen, sowie Fragen der Unterstützung von Entscheidungsprozessen des Managements. Weitere Themen widmen sich der Frage, wie Experten zu Innovation und Weiterentwicklung beitragen. Konzeptentwicklung und ein grober Überblick zu Projektarbeit verbunden mit praktischen Hinweisen für Experten zu Auftraggeber, Projektauftrag, Auftragsklärung und Kick-off werden ebenfalls angesprochen.
