Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Rolle von Experten ist heute in vielen Organisationen weit verbreitet. Insbesondere in wissensbasierten auf fundierte Expertise gestützten Tätigkeitsfeldern nimmt deren Bedeutung und Zahl beständig zu. Der Titel des Experten ist nicht geschützt, andererseits vermittelt er Glaubwürdigkeit sowie Reputation, ist in der Fachwelt begehrt und stärkt vielfach den sozialen Status. Oft ist allerdings unklar, was einen Experten ausmacht, der in einer Organisation eine wichtige Rolle einnehmen soll. Hier wird eine Definition relevanter Merkmale von Experten vorgenommen und aufgezeigt, wie sie sich gegen erfahrene Mitarbeiter abgrenzen. Es wird beschrieben, was die Persönlichkeit von Experten auszeichnen sollte und ausgeführt, was Experten an positiven und problematischen Erfahrungen aus ihrem Alltag schildern.
