Abstract

ZusammenfassungDer Profifußball ist ein System unter Spannung, in dem der Spieler zur zentralen Figur vielfältiger Interessen geworden ist. Er entscheidet sportlich über Siege, ist zugleich ökonomisches Asset, mediale Projektionsfläche und Markenbotschafter. Dieses Kapitel zeigt, dass seine Rolle weit über Technik und Taktik hinausgeht: Sie umfasst Marktwert, Transferlogiken und Gehaltsstrukturen ebenso wie Selbstvermarktung, mentale Belastungen und gesellschaftliche Verantwortung. Der Spieler bewegt sich dabei zwischen sportlicher Exzellenz und ökonomischer Verwertbarkeit, zwischen individueller Strahlkraft und systemischer Überlastung. Die Analyse versteht ihn als Schlüsselfigur der Fußballindustrie, geprägt von ökonomischen, medialen und kulturellen Logiken – und als potenziellen Gestalter eines zukunftsfähigen Profifußballs.
