Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Personalrekrutierung für den Polizeidienst steht vor zunehmenden Herausforderungen durch sinkende Bewerber:innenzahlen und den demografischen Wandel (Nettelnstroth, 2017). Das Projekt POLNACH, eine Kooperation der Akademie der Polizei Hamburg und der HWR Berlin, bietet ein evidenzbasiertes Anforderungsprofil für das Einstiegsamt und Empfehlungen für die Personalauswahl der Polizei (Nettelnstroth, Martens & Binder, 2020a). Angesichts der Diskussionen über unerwünschte Werthaltungen und Fehlverhalten von Polizeibeamt:innen, z. B. durch mögliche Radikalisierungstendenzen, rückt die charakterliche Eignung zunehmend in den Fokus. Die Bedeutung der Personalauswahl ist groß, da Mitarbeiter:innen meist langfristig in den Behörden bleiben. Zwar existieren Anforderungsprofile und eignungsdiagnostische Verfahren, doch wird bisher wenig untersucht, welches unerwünschte Verhalten als Ausschlusskriterium gelten sollte. Das Projekt CHARAKTER untersucht die Vorhersage kontraproduktiven Verhaltens und Radikalisierungstendenzen in der Personalauswahl. Der vorliegende Artikel greift die Erkenntnisse der Projekte POLNACH und CHARAKTER auf und überträgt sie auf polizeiliche Spezialeinheiten, die seit Vorfällen wie beim SEK Frankfurt im Jahr 2021 verstärkt im Fokus stehen. Dabei wird reflektiert, welche Eigenschaften bei der Auswahl von Spezialkräften besonders beachtet werden sollten, um das Risiko unerwünschten Verhaltens zu minimieren.
