Abstract

Zusammenfassung Nachhaltiger Tourismus umfasst die Aspekte Ökologie, Ökonomie, Soziales und Institutionen. Der Wassertourismus hat durch die Nutzung des marinen Ökosystems eine Vielzahl negativer Auswirkungen auf die Natur, aber auch auf die Destinationen, beispielsweise in Form von Overtourism. Gesetzliche Regelungen sollen diese Auswirkungen minimieren. Dem stehen mit der Schaffung von Arbeitsplätzen und Einkommen aber auch positive wirtschaftliche Konsequenzen gegenüber. Einheimische können die wassertouristische Infrastruktur in ihrer Freizeit ebenfalls nutzen. Barrierefreier Wassertourismus steht noch am Anfang seiner Entwicklung. Das Management von wassertouristischen Destinationen wird durch Destination Management Organisationen wahrgenommen, die in ihrer Arbeit stark durch tourismuspolitische Zielsetzungen beeinflusst werden.
