Abstract

Zusammenfassung Ab 29.04.2025 soll die elektronische Patientenakte (ePA) in Deutschland flächendeckend eingeführt werden. Die Weiterentwicklung des Gesundheitswesens durch die ePA und die Nutzung von Gesundheitsdaten für Forschungszwecke ist ein notwendiger Schritt zur Verbesserung der Versorgung. Dabei muss die Umsetzung im Einklang mit geltendem Recht sowie unter Berücksichtigung aktueller technischer Schutzstandards erfolgen. Mit dem Gesundheitsdatennutzungsgesetz (GDNG) und dem Digital-Gesetz (DigiG) erweitern sich die Möglichkeiten zur Verarbeitung von Gesundheitsdaten. Damit einhergehend steigen jedoch auch die Anforderungen an Datenschutz und Datensicherheit. Bestehende strukturelle, konzeptionelle, juristische und technische Herausforderungen werden im vorliegenden Beitrag reflektiert.
