Abstract

ZusammenfassungNachhaltiges Finanzieren (Sustainable Finance oder Green Finance im weiteren Sinne) hat seinen Ursprung in der Entwicklungshilfearbeit von Förderbanken und Staaten. In späteren Jahren wurde die Privatwirtschaft verstärkt einbezogen. Dabei wurde eine starke Hebelwirkung von Aktivitäten für ein umweltfreundlicheres und gesellschaftlich verantwortungsbewussteres Wirtschaften im Finanzsektor gesehen. Gerade der Finanzsektor erscheint geeignet, mit der Bereitstellung geeigneter Produkte den Transformationsprozess hin zu kohlenstoffarmen, ressourceneffizienten und sozial gerechten Volkswirtschaften zu beschleunigen. Attraktive Finanzinstrumente sollen entsprechende Investitionen motivieren, zum Beispiel zur Gestaltung ressourcensparender Produktions- und Energiegewinnungsprozesse.
