Abstract

Zusammenfassung Künstliche Intelligenz (KI) durchdringt zunehmend unseren Alltag und findet sowohl auf industrieller als auch auf privater Ebene breite Anwendung. Dieses Kapitel vermittelt grundlegende Konzepte der KI – von der sogenannten „schwachen“ bis zur hypothetischen „starken“ KI – und erläutert zentrale Entscheidungsmechanismen. Der Fokus liegt auf der Anwendbarkeit. Neben einer Einführung in zentrale KI-Modelle und aktuelle Methoden werden etablierte Anwendungsbeispiele dargestellt. Ziel ist es, ein umfassendes Bild der gegenwärtigen KI-Landschaft aufzuzeigen und zu veranschaulichen, wie der Mensch durch KI-Systeme unterstützt werden kann.
