Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Komplexität der Supply-Chain von Industrieunternehmen wird in Abb. 3.1 an der Teilestruktur eines Autos deutlich. Es müssen vielfältige Materialien und Komponenten geplant, disponiert, beschafft und verarbeitet werden. Komponenten bestehen wiederum aus Materialien und weiteren Komponenten über mehrere Glieder der Beschaffungskette. Auch der Vertrieb wird durch komplexe Strukturen aus selbstständigen Handelsunternehmen, eigenen Vertriebsgesellschaften in einer internationalen Verflechtung abgewickelt. Probleme und Fehler bei einem Partner innerhalb der Ketten können sich auf vor- und nachgelagerte Glieder auswirken. Seit mehreren Jahren werden deshalb vom Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft mehrere Forschungs- und Entwicklungsprojekte zur Vernetzung von Industrieunternehmen zum gemeinsamen Datenaustausch unterstützt (BMWK, 2025). In den vom Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft geförderten Projekten CATENA-X, MANUFACTURING-X und FACTORY-X werden für die Vernetzung der Lieferketten und der Fabriksteuerung Datenräume entwickelt. In den Projekten arbeiten rund hundert Unternehmen und Forschungsinstitute unter der Leitung von SAP und Siemens zusammen und bilden damit eine Basis für eine breite Durchdringung der Ergebnisse. Diese werden auch der Entwicklung des Industrial Metaverse einen weiteren Entwicklungsschub geben.
