Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Vertrieb umfasst die Bearbeitung von Kundenanfragen, Angebotserstellung, Auftragsannahme, Auftragssteuerung, Versand, Fakturierung, Finanzbuchführung und Controlling. Er ist über die Auftragssteuerung mit der Produktion und über auftragsbezogene Beschaffungsvorgänge mit der Beschaffung verzahnt. Zwischen den Funktionen und Datenstrukturen von Vertrieb und der Beschaffung besteht eine spiegelbildliche Parallelität. Die Beschaffungsaufträge eines Unternehmens sind Kundenaufträge der entsprechenden Lieferanten. Diese Zusammenhänge führen dazu, dass Logistikprozesse über Kunden und Lieferanten hinweg immer mehr als Einheit betrachtet werden. Dieses bringen die Begriffe Lieferkettenmanagement oder Supply Chain Management zum Ausdruck. Je nach Auftragsart können einzelne Schritte des Vertriebsprozesses unterschiedliche Gewichte bekommen oder sogar entfallen. Bei einem Barverkauf wird z. B. mit der Auftragsannahme auch die Rechnung erstellt und der Versand wird durch die direkte Übergabe an den Kunden ersetzt. Die drei Teilfunktionen fallen somit zusammen. Im Weiteren wird aber der für die Industrie vorherrschende Terminauftrag mit seinem umfassenden Prozess behandelt.
