Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das Thema der Nachhaltigkeit geht über die ökologischen Belange als externe Effekte von Unternehmen hinaus. Vielmehr werden bei der Nachhaltigkeit unterschiedliche Inhalte und auch neue Methoden der Nachhaltigkeit diskutiert. Von besonderer Bedeutung ist dabei, welche konzeptionelle Grundlage und Grundidee die Unternehmen für ihr Nachhaltigkeitsmanagement verfolgen. In Wissenschaft und Praxis liegen zahlreiche Konzepte vor, die verschiedene Inhalte widerspiegeln und auch mit methodischen Vorschlägen verbunden sind. Das Kapitel beschäftigt sich mit den in der Praxis besonders vertretenen Konzepten der Nachhaltigkeit. Es werden im Einzelnen die ESG-Kriterien (Environmental, Social, Governance; auch genannt: Drei-Säulen-Modell, Triple Down Line), die SDG-Ziele (Sustainable Development Goals), die Scope-Kategorien und die Kreislaufwirtschaft behandelt. Ebenso werden verschiedene Kernprinzipien der Nachhaltigkeit aufgezeigt. Sehr ausführlich werden abschließend die Regelungen zur Förderung der Nachhaltigkeit behandelt, bei denen die Konzepte der Nachhaltigkeit wiederzufinden sind. Die dazu relevanten Vorschriften, Verpflichtungen, Standards und Leitlinien der Nachhaltigkeit werden vorgestellt.
