Abstract

Having reached the end of this book, this chapter serves as a bridge to the world of its intended audience. It provides a summary of why it is important to engage with Knowledge ManagementKnowledgeKnowledge ManagementManagementKnowledge Management, the concept of the learning OrganizationOrganizationlearning, and the complementary use of blended learning. In addition, a concise overview of selected trends is presented. Some of these are already being implemented, although there remains further potential for both academic and corporate application. Others have scarcely been addressed so far, yet represent areas that will shape and influence the future of LearningLearning and TeachingTeachingTeaching. For the readers of this book, it is therefore advisable to continuously monitor developments and trends in LearningLearning and TeachingTeachingTeaching, in order to ensure that education and training can be offered and implemented at a modern and professional level.
