Abstract

Zusammenfassung Für die Organisation von Unternehmen sind die Begriffe GeschäftsprozessGeschäftsprozess und GeschäftsprozessmanagementGeschäftsprozessmanagement (GPM) (GPM)GPM (Geschäftsprozessmanagment) in der Praxis mittlerweile fest etabliert, wird doch die Wertschöpfung eines Unternehmens überwiegend durch die Gestaltung der Geschäftsprozesse bestimmt. Bereits seit den 1990er Jahren gilt die Prozessorientierung als wichtigster Ansatz, um Arbeitsabläufe und ihre Aktivitäten, die vormals überwiegend isoliert betrachtet und optimiert wurden, aus einer ganzheitlichen Perspektive zu gestalten. Die ProzessorientierungProzessorientierung steht damit dem traditionellen, funktionalen Organisationskonzept gegenüber. Aufgrund des großen Spektrums möglicher Zielsetzungen einer Geschäftsprozessanalyse werden die hierfür grundlegenden Aktivitäten Schritt für Schritt vorgestellt. Das beschriebene Vorgehensmodell dient als Gerüst, um vor dem Hintergrund des konkreten Projektvorhabens ein individuelles Vorgehen zusammenzustellen.
