Abstract

Zusammenfassung Building Information Modeling (BIM) hat sich in den vergangenen Jahren als zentrale digitale Arbeitsmethode im Bau- und Immobilienwesen etabliert. Ursprünglich vor allem für die Planungs- und Bauphase entwickelt, gewinnt BIM zunehmend auch im Betrieb von Immobilien an Bedeutung, insbesondere in Verbindung mit CAFM-Systemen. Im Fokus steht bei BIM die modellbasierte Erfassung, Verwaltung und Nutzung von Gebäudeinformationen über den gesamten Lebenszyklus hinweg. Das Kapitel gibt einen systematischen Überblick über die Grundlagen, Dimensionen und Detaillierungsgrade von BIM.
