Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Digitalisierung hat die Welt verändert und wird sie weiter verändern. Wie angeführt, kann keiner zuverlässig prognostizieren, wie bzw. wie schnell KI und „Industrie 4.0“ weitere Fortschritte machen, Standards vorgeben und die Welt verändern. Alle Indikatoren weisen darauf hin, dass sich vieles schneller verändert als von vielen vermutet. Diese Aussagen stehen nicht im Widerspruch zu den in Kap. 7 aufgezeigten negativen Perspektiven, vielmehr geht es darum, beides miteinander zu verbinden, weder den eigentlichen Geschäftszweck zu vernachlässigen, noch die digitalen Neuerungen zu ignorieren. Der Zeitraum, in dem neue Lösungen alte verdrängten, ist durch die Digitalisierung kürzer geworden. Nicht nur bei skalierbaren Angeboten im Internet/Softwarebereich, sondern auch in Bereichen, in denen dies undenkbar erschien, wie bei der Fahrzeugproduktion. Etablierte Unternehmen wissen um die Herausforderungen, möchten Jäger, nicht Gejagte, sein.
