Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Kostensituation deutscher Unternehmen ist aktuell durch ein Zusammenspiel wirtschaftlicher, gesellschaftlicher und demografischer Herausforderungen geprägt. Dieses Kapitel analysiert zentrale Einflussfaktoren wie krankheitsbedingte Fehlzeiten, Pflegeverpflichtungen, Fachkräftemangel, vakante Stellen und einen tiefgreifenden Wertewandel in der Arbeitswelt. Es zeigt auf, wie veränderte Generationenbilder, sinkende Leistungsbereitschaft und steigende Erwartungshaltungen das Gleichgewicht zwischen Arbeitgeber- und Arbeitnehmerinteressen belasten. Gleichzeitig wird die Rolle von HR als strategischer Gestalter moderner Arbeitskulturen hervorgehoben. Unternehmen müssen ihre Personalpolitik neu ausrichten, um nachhaltig attraktiv und wettbewerbsfähig zu bleiben. Der Text appelliert an alle Akteure – Wirtschaft, Politik, Bildung und Eltern –, Verantwortung zu übernehmen, um eine zukunftsfähige, leistungsbereite Gesellschaft zu gestalten.
