Abstract

ZusammenfassungAngesichts der zunehmenden Popularität des Begriffs Cultural Entrepreneurship einerseits, seiner unscharfen Verwendung zwischen Kreativwirtschaft, Kunst mit kommerziellen Absichten und kultureller Geprägtheit von Unternehmertum andererseits wird eine zugleich tiefer greifende und umfassendere Konzeptualisierung des Terminus entwickelt. Diese stützt sich auf die Essenz seiner Bestandteile, wobei Entrepreneurship im von Schumpeter geprägten Sinn dessen verstanden wird, der „das Neue in die Welt trägt“, Cultural als Bezug auf Kunst. Am Beispiel der Familie Medici, Mäzene und erste Unternehmer im Florenz der Renaissance, wird gezeigt, dass Unternehmertum im eigentlichen Sinne des Innovativen dadurch unterstützt wird, dass die Intersektion (Johanssen) mit Kunst gesucht bzw. geschaffen wird.
