Abstract

ZusammenfassungDer vorliegende Artikel beschreibt die Besonderheiten eines Orchesters, das sich als Unternehmen begreift. Die Organisationsform des Ensembles – die Musiker sind Gesellschafter und das Management von ihnen angestellt – ist ungewöhnlich und wird als eine der Quellen des weltweiten Erfolgs der Deutschen Kammerphilharmonie Bremen verstanden. Auf einen kurzen Überblick über die Gründungsgeschichte des Ensembles folgend, wird der Perspektivenwechsel diskutiert, der sich ergibt, wenn Kunst und Wirtschaft nicht mehr als einander ausschließende Gegensätze verstanden werden. Welche Konsequenzen für die Erfolgsentwicklung die Balance von Kunst und Wirtschaft im Orchesterunternehmen haben, wird am Beispiel des 5-Sekunden-Modells, des Beratungsformats des Unternehmens, erläutert. Eine abschließende Einordnung des Modells der Deutschen Kammerphilharmonie Bremen in aktuelle Entwicklungen des klassischen Kultursektors und staatliche Förderungspolitik verdeutlicht die Notwendigkeit des Wandels und die beispielhafte Rolle, die dieses Ensemble in ihm einnimmt.
