Abstract

Zusammenfassung Seit einigen Jahren geraten Freiheit, Demokratie und Marktwirtschaft, die über Jahrhunderte hart erkämpft wurden, unter immer stärkeren Druck. Autoritäre und totalitäre Regimes haben weltweit Aufwind. Der liberale Westen erodiert gerade. Es geht jetzt tatsächlich um sehr viel, um die innere Ordnung und die äußere: Gewinnen jene Länder, die die liberale Weltordnung aufrechterhalten wollen, oder obsiegen die revisionistischen Mächte, die die bisherige Ordnung auflösen und zerstören wollen? Ängstliches Wegschauen wie bisher und Schlafwandelei können wir uns nicht mehr länger erlauben. Wir brauchen jetzt einen robusten Selbstbehauptungswillen unserer Demokratien nach innen wie nach außen.
