Abstract

Zusammenfassung Employability ist ein aus dem englischsprachigen Raum kommender Begriff. In diesem Kapitel wird der Versuch unternommen, ein besseres Verständnis für diesen Terminus zu generieren. Er ist die Grundlage für die Perspektive, die in diesem Buch auf das Thema New Work eingenommen wird. New Work ist ein Begriff von Frithjof Bergmann aus den 1980er-Jahren, der in der aktuellen Diskussion in einer abgeschwächten Form wieder in den Vordergrund gerückt ist. Er beschäftigt sich mit der grundsätzlichen Frage nach der zeitgemäßen Gestaltung von Arbeit.
