Abstract

Zusammenfassung Ausgehend von dem Phänomen, dass sich Menschen mentale Merkmale zuschreiben, wird dargestellt, dass die Attribution von Agency an Maschinen ähnlichen Mustern folgt. Aspekte der Anthropomorphisierung von Maschinen und Maschinen-Computer-Metaphorik, die in der Techniksprache und in unserem Umgang mit Technik wurzelt, werden diskutiert. Abschließend wird die Frage, ob Computer denken können thematisiert. Es werden Überlegungen präsentiert, warum Computer nicht denken können. Als Gründe werden das Scheitern einer Maschinentheorie der Lebewesen und die Reduktion des semiotischen Dreiecks auf syntaktische Beziehungen und des Denkens auf interpretationsfreie Zeichenkombination angeführt.
