Abstract

Zusammenfassung Im Jahr 2011 war im FAZ-Blog zu lesen: „‚Facebook wird zu einer großen Bedrohung, sobald die Werbemaschine erst einmal richtig angeworfen wurde.‘ Christoph Schuh vom reichweitenstärksten deutschen Online-Werbevermarkter Tomorrow Focus warnt vor dem sozialen Netzwerk, das den deutschen Online-Werbern den Markt streitig macht.“ (FAZ 2011) Nun, heute ist die Werbemaschine angeworfen. Die Warnung von Herrn Schuh aus dem Jahr 2011 ist heute Realität. Meiner Beobachtung nach ist Facebook heute ein Mega-Konkurrent für die etablierten Werbevermarkter. Im November 2024 hatte Facebook in den USA allein einen Marktanteil von 53,45 Prozent (vgl. Statista 2025b).
