Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Internationalisierung ist für viele mittelständische Unternehmen ein fester Bestandteil für eine planvolle Unternehmensentwicklung. Planvoll werden Internationalisierungsprojekte dadurch, dass sie auf einer Internationalisierungsstrategie basieren, die Schritt für Schritt unter der Beachtung der wesentlichen relevanten Aspekte entwickelt worden sind. Dieses Kapitel zeigt die Bedeutung der Strategie für KMU im Allgemeinen und die Anforderungen an internationale Strategien im Besonderen. Hier werden die Internationalisierungsgrade aufgezeigt und etablierte Methoden für die Strategieentwicklung vorgestellt.
