Abstract

Zusammenfassung Eine Form von grünen Fremdkapitalfinanzierungsinstrumenten sind die sogenannten Sustainability Linked Loans. Bei diesen Krediten ist die Höhe der Zinsen abhängig von der Erreichung von Zielen, die sich Kreditnehmer in Abstimmung mit Kreditgebern und Sustainability-Koordinatoren in den Bereichen Umwelt, Soziales und Unternehmensführung selbst gesetzt haben. Dieser Beitrag analysiert, wie verbreitet Sustainability Linked Loans derzeit in deutschen Unternehmen sind und betrachtet mittels zahlreicher Unternehmensbeispiele, welche Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Unternehmen für die Messung der Ziele mit den Banken vereinbaren. Ferner wird am Praxisbeispiel des Telekommunikationsunternehmens Deutsche GigaNetz GmbH detailliert erörtert, wie sich die Auswahl der KPIs gestalten kann und wie das Unternehmen die Finanzierung mittels Sustainability Linked Loan bewertet.
