Abstract

Zusammenfassung Active Ownership gehört zu den ESG-Strategien. Hierbei werden die Rechte und der Einfluss, die aus Eigentum entstehen, vom Investor aktiv genutzt, um das Verhalten des Emittenten, zumeist Unternehmen, in Richtung stärkerer Nachhaltigkeit zu beeinflussen. Zu den Formen von Active Ownership gehören Engagement, Abstimmungspolitik, öffentliche Beiträge, die Suche nach Rechtsbehelfen, Anteilsreduktion bis hin zum Exit und Kollaborationen. Dieser Beitrag erläutert die Formen von Active Ownership und erörtert ihre Verbreitung sowie empirische Evidenz in Bezug auf ihre Wirkung. Am Praxisbeispiel des Berenberg Wealth and Asset Management zeigt der Beitrag, wie ein Asset Manager eine Active-Ownership-Strategie entwickelt und implementiert. Konkrete Beispiele für Engagement, Abstimmungspolitik und Kollaborationen veranschaulichen Active Ownership bei Berenberg Wealth und Asset Management.
