Abstract

Zusammenfassung Im Kontext wachsender ökologischer und sozialer Herausforderungen gewinnt die Integration von Umwelt-, Sozial- und Governance-Kriterien (ESG) im Finanzsektor an Bedeutung. Die vorliegende Forschungsarbeit untersucht die Integration von ESG-Kriterien in den Kreditvergaberichtlinien deutscher Banken und deren Auswirkungen auf die Kreditvergabepraxis. Eine qualitative Erhebungsmethode in Form von drei Experteninterviews wird verwendet, um ein umfassendes Verständnis für die Veränderungen in der Kreditvergabepraxis und deren gesamtwirtschaftliche Auswirkungen zu gewinnen. Die Ergebnisse bieten nicht nur eine theoretische Grundlage für nachhaltige Finanzen, sondern liefern auch praxisrelevante Erkenntnisse für Finanzinstitute, Regulierungsbehörden und Stakeholder.
