Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der strategische Schritt in die internationale Vermarktung einer Location kann lohnenswert sein, um neue Zielgruppen zu gewinnen und in Zukunft internationale Veranstaltungen ausrichten zu können. Grundlage für den Erfolg ist eine sehr gute Vorbereitung, welche die Auswertung von internen Zahlen und Fakten, Marktdaten sowie Benchmarks beinhaltet – und das Kennen der internationalen Trends der Branche. Weitere Bausteine sind die Anpassung von internen Strukturen, Ressourcen und Budgets. Der Aufbau eines starken, internationalen Netzwerkwerks von Kunden, Partnern und anderen Stakeholdern ist Garant für eine gezielte Ansprache und Akquisition von internationalen Kunden aus Verbänden, Unternehmen, Kongress- und Event-Agenturen sowie aus Wirtschaft, Politik und Gesellschaft.
